Reprieve!
I was scheduled to go to clinic on Thursday to participate in a clinical trial. It was to involve an interview or “counseling” session, followed by taking four vials of blood. Apparently this trial was to see if certain cancers can be detected early through a simple blood draw versus a biopsy or other more invasive techniques. And the woman told me there were several different common cancers that are supposed to be detected.
I have no idea if this would be a quick in-and-out or a more lengthy session, but either way whenever I go to clinic it is always at least 2 or 3 hours there and back since I depend on Lyft and I’m at their mercy regarding timing. And I wasn’t sure how I’d feel after giving 4 vials of blood –those tubes are huge! And I’d be getting back sometime during the hottest part of the day when I can’t get much work done due to the heat inside.
So, I had scheduled my time to simply not expect a lot of work to be done on Thursday, and have all packages shipping “on or before Friday.”
The woman in charge of the clinical trial called yesterday to remind me and we got to talking and it turns out this can be done the same day I go see my endocrinologist in September. This means I have all of today and tomorrow available for finishing the latest BRS yarns, and packaging as many boxes or envelopes as you might require of me.
So…. when you claim any two or more BRS yarns (new from Monday’s post at regular price or any previously posted Blog Reader Specials, and include the word Reprieve when you email your request, I will give you free shipping inside the U.S.
