Cowl me Crazy, but…
Okay, call me crazy.
I recently pulled out all my winter woolies and washed most of them. Here are most of the hats, all of which I knitted and most of which were my own designs. I showed this pic on FB the other day, too.
I know I knitted this 10+ years ago in what I think is a worsted wt. commercially produced wool yarn.
The problem is that I do not remember how I knitted it. Based on the color sequence and the bind-off, I have to assume I started with a cast-on at the center line in yellow and did a moebius knit, but I truly cannot remember how I did it. I can’t even remember why I knitted it, because I have never worn it. Ever. Not even once, other than trying it on. I don’t care for cowls in general, anyway, and this one just doesn’t feel right to me. I DO remember someone pointing me to someone else’s instructions for moebius knitting, and I remember trying it and thinking it was pretty cool.
So it’s been in my winter woolies drawer all these years. Who do you know who would want such a cowl? Let me know if there is a deserving soul. 🙂
It’s beautiful! I’d happily wear it.
I recently discovered cowls and probably will never knit another scarf. Winter in Maine is surely coming…got to finish the cowl I’m working on now!
Hi Mary:
My daughter just saw it on Facebook and claimed it. 🙂
