Calypso and Deep Sea?

Okay, so I took these two yarns from the Biagio collection (Calypso and Deep Sea)

knit them up in a quick giant swatch on the machine (I used a partial knitting technique rather than straightforward intarsia — worked a lot faster, imho):

The pictures below are representative of the dye jobs done on Thursday. Twenty-five skeins of fingering weight 100% Merino wool. They still need to be wrapped and banded for sale, but I wanted to show off the glorious colors that resulted.

It grows!

Well, duh… that’s why it’s called the “Organic” Shawl!  Hello-o-o-!!!!
But I’m not entire sure I like this:

Besides using up WAY more skeins of yarn than I originally expected to use, I’m not sure I like the directions it is taking.
