Okay, here they are!

Okay, most of the ones shown below were already claimed during the preview period. I’m showing them so anyone can see how they reskeined for presentation.
These follow the main guides for Blog Reader Specials (if you’ve not snatched up a Blog Reader Special, be sure to click and read how I do them). Just EMAIL [...]

Color… glorious color!

This is yesterday’s work product — all I managed to accomplish was using up all the leftover dyes on the counter.

(click it for a bigger version)
(#1, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #9, and #11 have now been spoken for)
These are ALL sock yarns, and they will likely end up as Blog Reader Specials, along with [...]

Midnight Green Fade now available

Okay, after showing the Midnight Green Fade experiment, there was indication that some other folks would like it, even though that particular one was claimed within minutes of my posting the picture.
So!  You will be happy to know that it is now available on the Socks and Lace page.  And this is what it skeined [...]

Yarns in the house!

Wheee!
Guess what I get to do today?

That’s 77 hanks of assorted socks and lace yarns, all of which need to be prepped for dyes.  It will take most of the rest of today just to bind and tie each one off and make it ready to go into the soaker.
I’m gonna be super busy playing [...]

Oh myyy… I am SOOOOO Sorry!

Some of you are going to shoot me.
I wasn’t planning to do this at all.   In fact, it just sort of happened.
This is what happens when I am left to my own devices.
In fact, I was so tickled by this I had to photograph it straight out of the steamer pouch before washing.
Whattaya think?

It’s a [...]

Changing Tides Collection

Three New Colors, One New Collection!
These three came about while playing with dyes. The first is called Ebb and shows the blue and the green at opposite ends of the reeled hank, fading into each other. Flow has the blue and green meeting in the middle, then fading outward to the ends of the reeled [...]

Psst– sneaky peekie!

The day started weird.
I went to bed around 11:15 and fell right asleep.  And just as quickly woke up 2 hours later, just before 1:30.  UGH!    It was impossible to pretend I was sleeping — my brain was just flying away and I couldn’t pretend.   I got up and started dealing with the yarns I [...]

Salsa Caliente (avocados not included)

Okay, so this pair skeined up way differently from the way it looked in the post-dye hanks.  I really REALLY like how they skeined up.
These were dyed from the same collection of leftover dyes, and will work well enough together, but they were dyed with different proportions of the same colors.  That’s why they appear [...]

The Bold and The Beautiful!

Okay, that’s sort of corny… but these colors really are amazing!
These are just so wild!
These follow the main guides for Blog Reader Specials (if you’ve not snatched up a Blog Reader Special, be sure to click and read how I do them). Just EMAIL (click it, or just email to ray (at) knitivity (dot) com) [...]

Utterly beside myself!

Yesterday was a (mostly) productive day, and there are now 30 hanks of sock yarns hanging on the racks outside.
i learned that 30 hanks of yarn in the washer do not spin out effectively the first time, gotta run 2 spin cycles.  Bummer.
But never mind that.    Most of the 30 hanks are requested dye jobs.   [...]

The Romance Collection!

Two New Colorways at Preview Pricing! These will begin shipping on or about May 20-25.
These were derived when I had done some After Hours and wasn’t sure how to use the leftover dyes. These can be used in combination with each other OR with After Hours as they are all the same dye recipes, just [...]

These follow the main guides for Blog Reader Specials (if you’ve not snatched up a Blog Reader Special, be sure to click and read how I do them).
Just EMAIL (click it, or just email to [...]

May Day! May Day!

(no, really… it’s May Day, the first day of May and I hope you are enjoying whatever May Day celebrations you happen to observe).
I am toying with an idea.    Yesterday Linda Jo was talking about writing on a particular topic for her blog, and I tossed out the idea of a Guest Blogger.
And then I [...]
