Do y’all remember this? And do y’member what it means?
Say “fiddle-bits”. Sounds like a fun word, and it sort of tickles the tongue to say it.
It is a made up word that means
And that’s true. Without you folks, this wouldn’t be possible. Every yarn or pattern sold helps me move just a little bit further along.
I just wanted to give a quick shout-out of appreciation for those who have helped me along the way. It is hard being an indie dyer these days. I like to think (based on feedback) that what I do to yarn is not only unique, but desirable for what knitters are doing today — especially with lace knitting, where the focus is on the stitching. I want to create yarns that are more than just flat solids, but serve to support the fancy stitching to make an “organic” shawl or scarf or other project that is filled with life and ever-changing hues.
So, thank you for your encouragement and support, for sharing links forward with your friends and telling them what you’ve done with Knitivity yarns. I especially appreciate shared links on Facebook or Google+ because there are thousands of knitters and crocheters whom I will never know about, and they’ll never know about me unless someone they know introduces them to my work.
Now that the new Web site is functional (lots more tweaking to come, but it will suffice for now), and the ordering process is a little smoother (still waiting for someone to actually test it to find out if others can make it work), and there are many other ideas I want to implement.
Someone suggested having a special membership only section where there would be private previews of new colorways, First Looks at special yarns coming up, as well as access to private online Knitterati knitting circles via video group conferencing — likely a week or monthly tutorial or knit-along where experienced knitters can help newbies with techniques. And, of course, the members-only section would automatically have discounts on all yarns purchased. 🙂
If that is something you’d like to see implemented, please let me know.
