As I start the day, and new week, I have a couple things on my To-Do list. Most importantly, of course, I have to post the page where you can order custom-dyed yarns. I mean, that’s my only income, so it’s stupid to not have that page up and ready, right?
I was surprised that the DNS numbers propagated throughout the Internet so quickly, and yesterday’s change-over caught me up short. But so far, I am liking it. I won’t try and explain routing and hubs and caches and mirrors, but I’m glad it all works so quickly.
I installed the Akismet package to eliminate spam comments — and boy-howdy, what a difference! I used to have several HUNDRED comments a day on the Knitterman blog, nearly all of it was junk. Now that the comments section is moved, most of the automatic comment-fillers haven’t found the new location, but I appreciate not having to deal with so much junk taking all my time. I love comments from real people, and my system is set up so that I have to approve comments from new people, but once a person has made a legitimate comment (proving they are real people and not bots) and I have once approved them, they can make future comments and those will appear immediately. Like, now that CB has made a comment, and it’s been approved, she can comment freely in the future.
Also, the new hosting package includes more extensive spam filtering for my email as well. YAYYY!!!
Anyway, time to eat some breakfast and get into the day. Lots to do and always lots to catch up on. Gotta make the money so things can move out of here and then I can buy even more yarn.
