Angel Rae Shawl

Lovely lace shawl pattern, with plenty of charts for easy knitting. Designed as a bottom-up shawl, it can be readily converted to a top-down double triangle, or even a center-out square. The original was knitted with less than 900 yards of fingering-weight wool, and measures over 66 inches across and 34 inches top to bottom. Can be knitted longer/wider by simply repeating the chart one or more extra times before knitting the top banner! Or use a worsted weight yarn to make a lovely afghan!

Limberlost Trails was inspired by the Limberlost series by Gene Stratton-Porter, and the picture of a Fiddlehead that inspired the Fiddlehead colorway. You can see this iconic shape in the shawl's border!

Test-knitters have determined It takes about 850-900 yards on 4mm needles for the triangle version; double that for the full square version. Your required yardage will depend on your choice of yarns, needle size, and gauge.
