Remains of the Day
Actually, remains of last Saturday!
Okay, so last Saturday some of my grandkids came over, each of the girls dyed a pair of Twins, and one of each set of Twins was claimed by a customer who selected the “Surprise Me” Phydlbitz Sock option during the 25% off sale. All six of the for-sale Twins was sold. I already posted the first-glimpse picture as they were drying on the rack. This is how they turned out; the ones on the left are the ones sent to customers, so that I could leave the artists’ hang tags in place as a finished work of art. The ones on the right are the ones I reskeined so I could see how the colors played with each other in each colorway.
Lisa asked me this morning if I’d helped with the girls’ color selections. Nope. I did tell them to shake the dye powder jars to see which were heaviest, since those could be used with abandon and my nearly empty jars needed to be conserved for specific dye jobs. I dyed two sets of Twins, just to show them how to lay the dye and manipulate the yarns, but beyond that each girl made her own color choices, and I prepared each dye that they wanted.
Since I did dye those 2 sets of twins (one of mine went among those that were sold), there are 3 remaining skeins. I’m too lazy to add them to the BRS log, reskein them for presentation on the BRS page, etc., etc., yadda-yadda-yadda. So I’m posting them here as Thanksgiving #1, Thanksgiving #2, and Thanksgiving #3. They are all full-size skeins of Phydlbitz Sock — 75% superwash/25% nylon, about 430 yards apiece.
Phydlbitz Sock normally goes at $24.50 apiece. For these three skeins, and only these three, you can have each one for $20.00 apiece. Or, take all three for $55.00. Inside the U.S. shipping/handling on 3 skeins is $4.00. Just be the first to claim your selection(s) by email, and be sure I know your location so I know if I should add U.S. or international postage.
Oh, and #1 and #3 were dyed together as Twins, so they should work well together.
#1 is now claimed, but #2 and #3 are still up for grabs. All three gone. #1 was sold, #2 & #3 are now #445 & #446 over on the Blog Reader Specials page. I think they reskeined up very well!
and here they are individually:
