Libby showed me a picture of a bird, similar to this one, an Emerald Starling, and suggested a possible colorway:

Well, you know what happens when (1) people suggest color combinations, AND (2) those ideas tickle my fancy.

Yup.   And she asked for more amethyst and less emerald, so that is what I did.   I couldn’t capture the iridescence of the wings, but I got pretty close to the main colors, with just a slip of silver in between to minimize bleeding.

And now that I know I can do this, I am offering this color combination to you as a Limited Edition, on any of my regular base yarns, at 15% off for the next week — or until the latest big order of yarns arrives this coming Friday or Monday.   I didn’t order any laceweights this time, but they can be had also, although it may take an extra week to get lace yarns.  If this isn’t real popular I probably won’t add it to the regular line up of colorways.  But if you like this combination and want to see it continued and available for later, feel free to speak up and say so, even if you don’t order some at this intro pricing opportunity.
