Nepal Earthquake
Unless you are living under a rock, you know that Nepal suffered a huge earthquake, with a death toll continuing to rise as bodies are found, and enormous physical destruction they were not equipped for. The network, print, and on-line media are full of reports and pictures of the event and the aftermath, if you wish to read more or see pictures.
I realize that among the fiber arts community there are huge hearts and willing hands to help in times of serious need.
I do not want to make profit from someone else’s tragedy (like, “for each skein of yarn sold I will send $XX.00 to the relief efforts”).
The New York Times has compiled a fairly thorough list of actual charities and avenues through which you can donate directly to the relief efforts. Go here to give to the project of your choice: http://www.nytimes.com/live/earthquake-katmandu-nepal-updates/how-to-help-the-relief-effort-in-nepal/
