Last Weekend BRS = 10% OFF preview pricing!
Wheee… just barely made it while dancing around the rain, but these all got wash, rinsed, hung to dry and photographed. And now that that part is done, they can dry overnight in the fan room. MOST of these can be had at preview pricing, because if you claim them I don’t have to reskein them and photograph them further, so you get 10% off the regular price. Once the rest are reskeined and posted to the BRS page they will be normal price.
As for the colors – nearly all of them were made from leftover dyes, as well as some sample dyes from another company.
The first rack is all Knitterman’s Lace – 100% Merino laceweight, 1000 yards each. The first four, marked Quads, will be turned into four individual Quad sets – a 1/4 size mini-hank, one of each tone. Purple, Purple with a little Scarlet, Scarlet with a little Purple, and Scarlet. Those will be $25.00 per Quad set, no discount on those, but you can still claim them ahead to be sure you get one.
These will dry over the weekend and be ready for shipping on Monday.
Then #196-203 round out the lot of Knitterman’s Lace. #196 is a pale scarlet wash with streaked scarlet overlay; #201 was a trial for “butter yellow”, but I didn’t use the regular yellow dye (surprise!), and #203 is a reasonable facsimile for “celery’ but no actual green dye was used there. 🙂 (yes, I confess… the Knitterman plays with color!) The rest are various other experiments with combinations to see waht would happen.
When they go to the BRS page they will be the regular $24.00. You can claim your selections now and 10% will be deducted on your invoice.
Already Claimed: 2 Quadsets (2 remaining), 196, 198, 199, 201, 203, 206, 208, 209, 212
And here is a collection of Phydlbitz Sock (75% superwash Corriedale/25% Nylon, 430 yards) and some Indulgence lace (70% Baby Alpaca/30% cultivated silk, 740 yards).
#204-213 are Phydlbitz Sock, normally $24.50; #214-217 are Indulgence Lace, normally $40.00. Again, if you claim your selections now, 10% will be deducted from your invoice, and your selections will be mailed out on Monday.
Any one of the Phydlbitz would make a handsome pair of socks, of course, but many knitters are increasingly finding it useful for the contemporary shawlettes and short capes, as well as summer-weight baby wraps.
Already Claimed: (see list above)
To claim the ones you want, just email me with your numbered selections and be sure to let me know your state or country so I can calculate the right shipping costs.
Meanwhile, I have been knitting along on this baby blanket in my spare time. Now that I’ve got the pattern in my head it is flying along more quickly than I had expected, so it should be all done and published by mid- or late-August. I love the texture, as well as the undyed yarn. Mostly I want to finish it so I can weigh and see how much yarn is required. I’m knitting 2 strands of undyed Phydlbitz Sock, so when the pattern goes up I might also have kits ready with sufficient yarn that can be left undyed, or dyed to whatever near-solid colors you might like. Or you could knit it up and dye it yourself, too. 🙂
