  1. Glad to hear you and yours are a bit wet around the edges but not in major trouble at this point. I hope the trailer stays dry and sound and there’s only a muddy yard to deal with. I truly feel for those who have been less fortunate with this storm.

  2. They’re saying that the water is 20 feet dt Houston. Does your daughter have any type of boat if it becomes necessary? This is one of the worst floods if not THE worst flood in US history!

    • No boat on hand. We are slightly more elevated here than in downtown. Much of the 20-feet deep water is in areas that dip below. Plus many of the freeway underpasses and so forth. Massive neighborhoods have water up to the roofs. That’s not where I am. At least not so far. 🙂

Yes, this is becoming worse than Katrina.

  3. OMG, I say to Mike, Ray lives in Houston! Oh, no, not another Hurricane for Ray!! I remember your Katrina experience so explicitly. I’m glad you are with your daughter. As to PTSD, I know exactly what you are experiencing–I have it from the 9/9/15 82,000 acre Butte Fire. We are in extreme fire season right now, and I can’t believe what certain things do to me. I hope your electricity/Internet keep working so you can stay connected, and I will be following you and thinking about you.
