Luxury Fingering is back!
ETA: The unclaimed Luxury Sock from the batch shown below has now been posted to the Blog Reader Specials page, so be sure to check there for availability. This is the group shot of those that were unclaimed — notice the lovely sheen in the sunlight!
After screwing up the previous batch of Luxury Fingering, I was happy to get more and do it better this time. 🙂
These are all Luxury Fingering – a magnificent blend of 85% 19.5-micron Merino and 15% Mulberry Silk, offering 550 yards per 4oz hank, for $32.00 apiece. I would call this somewhere between a light fingering and a heavy laceweight, with a suggested gauge of 7-8 sts/in, on a US 0-2 needle.
The even-numbered ones (i.e., 664, 666, 668, and 670) were dyed as two Twinset, as part of a custom dye job. I didn’t like how it came out and so I did the custom dye job over, and I put these into the BRS collection — they are a blend of navy, black, and gray. Even though dyed as Twinsets, I was unable to identify which pairs were the actual Twinsets, so they are simply singles, any two of which would play well together in a project. 🙂
Or you might want to pair one of those with one of the others for a striking two-tone stripe, check, entrelac or other colorwork pattern! I didn’t specifically plan it that way, but just about any two of these would seem to go together, depending on your color preferences.
To claim the ones you want, just email me and tell me which ones you want to claim, and be sure I know your state or country if you haven’t ordered from me before. These will be processed and ready to ship on Thursday.
