Happy New Yarns!!
I hope everyone is off to a GREAT START for 2018!
Houston had a bit of a wintry start — 4 days in a row waking up to temperatures below freezing — but I know it is nothing compared to what the people up north and along the east coast are dealing with, so I’ll try to keep my local complaints to a dull roar. 🙂 I heard a rumor that even Florida decided to participate in the wintry mix this year!
Yesterday I dyed the first batch of Blog Reader Specials for the new year. All 100% Merino, sport weight, not superwash, 330 yards each.
Most of them were dyed as Twinsets (except the last 2 on the second rack). Because of the dye technique used and the fact this is not superwash, the dyes were able to migrate a little more than I’d like so they may not be as nearly identical as some of my other dye jobs.
Because I don’t often feature sport weights, you might be wondering what to make of a skein of this soft yarn — I did a search on Ravelry for patterns calling for up to 300 yards of sport weight! You can check out the variety of project ideas here. Of course, if you want a larger project you can search for patterns calling for 600+ yards and claim a Twinset. 🙂
To claim the ones you want, just email me and give me the BRS18- numbers indicated above each hank. These yarns will be processed and ready to ship on Monday, 8 January, and will be posted to the Blog Reader Specials page on Sunday.
Already Claimed: all the unclaimed yarns have now been posted to the Blog Reader Specials page.
