After standing up dyeing and having the steamer going for a couple of hours, I thought I’d run to corner market for some ice cream. When I checked, though, it was 95F and feels like 101. Yeah…. no, I don’t really need ice cream! Just another month or so of this beastly heat. Yayyyy!
I know I’ve been doing Phydlbitz Sock a lot lately (and I just got 6 more cones this past weekend), but I decided to use up some of the other yarns that I have had in smaller quantities.
So, this week I offer you, a dozen Primo500 (80/20 Merino/Silk laceweight, 500 yards/50g), a half-dozen BFL Sport (100% BFL, 330 yards, 4oz), and a dozen Lovely Sock (80/20 Superwash Merino/Nylon, 430 yards, 4oz). I wasn’t aiming for any particular color combinations this time, but allowed the dyes to dictate how they wanted to be presented.
Normally, the Primo Lace is put up at 1000 yards apiece for 100 grams, but there are many lovely patterns calling for less yardage, so it seemed better to make smaller hanks this time. Of course, as Twinsets, you can still get 1000 yards if you wish. 🙂
These will all be ready to ship on or before Tuesday. To make your selection, just send me an email with the numbered items you’d like.
All of these were dyed as Twinsets, and in each pair I have rotated one so you can see all the colors that appear on both skeins of each Twinset. You do NOT have to take both skeins of a Twinset, as they are individually priced and you might want to explore the contrasts that are available in different skeins – for example 740 and 746 would pair well, or 755 and 759.
