Sport Weight … and a quilt!
What a good week it’s been, if you don’t count a few days of rain in the middle! It finally ended on Thursday, I got to go to early voting on Friday, and yesterday I received an amazing surprise from my cousin!
Many months ago, I sent my cousin several of my old shirts. She’s a quilter and I thought she could use them in her stash for making quilts. Yesterday I received this amazing queen size quilt, assembled in Log Cabin blocks made from my old shirts and some other fabrics.
So now I get to snuggle for the winter and reminisce over the shirts I used to wear!
But before the quilt arrived, I was busy dyeing some Superwash Targhee/Nylon sport wt. yarns. While pulling hanks from the cones I was singing at one point and not paying attention to the yardage counter and it was way more than needed before I caught it. So, I made 3 double-size hanks and stopped singing until I was all done pulling hanks! One of the double-size hanks was already claimed, but there are two remaining and they are shown in the second photo.
These are all 90/10 Superwash Targhee/Nylon, 350 yards each (except the doubles which are 700 yards each), and will be $27.00 apiece when they go the Blog Reader Specials page tomorrow or Tuesday. For today and tomorrow (Sunday and Monday) you can have them with a preview discount for just $25.00 each. The double-sized hanks will be $48.00, now and on the BRS page.
All on the first rack are Solitaires, not Twinsets. The second rack is all Twinsets, plus the two double-sized hanks. #987 and #988 and #1003 have some minor staining that occurred during the washing as they rubbed against other yarns, and I’ve turned the yarns so you can see those places.
To claim the ones you want, send me an email indicating your selection numbers. These will be reskeined and ready to ship on or before Wednesday. If you need an individual shot of a particular yarn, please let me know.
