Whee! Exploring Color!
Happy Sunday, all around!
I think I am finally starting to shake this nasty cold-flu-yucky-stuff, which is nice, and I was able to get this week’s dyeing done yesterday. As is my habit, I pulled out a dozen or so colors and mixed up 9 squirt bottles to start with. Nearly all the yarns were dyed from this palette, although I did pull out a couple additional dyes for dry dyeing toward the end of the session.
I really enjoy pulling colors at random and experimenting with how they combine. It seems there is no end to what can be done. And besides combining colors, I have access to several different techniques or methods of applying those colors, so even with a limited palette, I can come up with a variety of different end results. 🙂
These are all Phydlbitz Sock (75/25 Superwash Corriedale/Nylon, 430 yards), all dyed as Twinsets, but you don’t have to claim both hanks of a Twinset. When appropriate for Twinsets, I have rotated one skein so you can see how both skeins are dyed.
These will all be ready to ship on or before Wednesday.
For today and tomorrow (Sunday and Monday), these are $2.00 off for preview pricing. Once they are reskeined, labeled, and individually photographed, they’ll go to the Blog Reader Specials page at the regular $27.00 apiece.
To claim the ones you want, just send me an email, indicating your numbered selections, and (if you’re not a regular client) make sure I know your shipping destination so I can correctly calculate shipping charges. I do ship internationally, and I try to use the least expensive method (usually it is USPS First Class International rate).
The yarns unclaimed from the racks shown below have now been posted to the Blog Reader Specials page; be sure to click through and see which ones remain available at the time of your visit.
