What happens when….?
What happens when you mix two different colorways?
Sometimes magic, but sometimes mud. You just never know until you try it, right?
Usually when I show yarns, I’ll show a whole rack of drying yarns, or sometimes matching Twinsets. But for today, I want to show non-matching yarns, to prompt some imagination as to what you might want to make with non-matching colorways. Maybe simple stripes, two-color brioche, mosaic knitting/crochet, or some other trick of the needles.
I pulled out all of the Superwash Merino DK yarns ….
and then pulled out random pairs that looked like they would work together:
Obviously, I have no way to know which combinations appeal to you, and there are clearly lots more ways that these yarns could be combined. And, your monitor might show colors slightly different from how I see them.
Instead of offering a deal on matching Twinsets, I’m going to open up the Blog Reader Specials page — when you claim two or more skeins you’ll get 25% off or order.
