update: Okay, so across several posts on FB the votes had 1 vote for BRS22-231, and 3 votes each for 21-923 and 22-281. I think I’ll go with 21-923. Besides being the nicer colors (in my opinion), it is also from last year’s collection, the BRS21 series.
Okay, so yesterday, I posted to the Knitivity Insiders that next week I would share my personal sock-knitting pattern/technique. Preparing a pseudo-tutorial takes time and effort, since I need to document the important parts.
Leave your selections in the comments below (or comment on the Facebook post)
Then, I need to decide which parts, if any, to video. You tell me what you want me to show on video, or write out.
My basic construction is toe-up, two-at-a-time, Turkish cast-on, with two needles. Then a simple short-row (hourglass) heel. My socks are knitted flat, with a 2×2 ribbing starting an inch above the ankle.
The anatomy of a basic sock is quite straightforward: Toe, Foot, Heel, Ankle, Leg. I wish I could still find my picture where I knitted those parts with color coding. Alas, I think that picture is gone with the wind. 🙂
Anyway, make your color selection below and also indicate any special things you want me to document for you. If I need to video various parts and/or write/chart line by line, I’d like you to tell me.
