Happy Friday!  I hope everyone is either in tolerable weather or at least finding some shade and staying hydrated.  Here in Houston it is expected to hit 100º today; it’s been that high and higher for several days already at my sister’s place in San Antonio.   Strangely, just a few days ago, my other sister shared a snow picture from her location in Montana.

Anyway, onward to this week’s Blog Reader Specials!

As is my wont, I played with colors again yesterday.  I did not use my regular purple dye, but blended one from one of my blues and one of my reds. The resulting blended dye went as a deep saturation/faded-schmear on Twinset #489-490; when it was freshly wet it reminded me of a black-cherry-vanilla swirl ice cream.   I used a lighter saturation of the same blended dye to create the fade on Twinset #483-484.

Twinset #485-486 reminds me of a mottled Tortoiseshell/Calico sort of cat I’ve seen in the neighborhood here.  And Twinset #501-502 reminds me of a coffee-scale, from the richest brew to a well-cream coffee. O’course, I only drink my coffee straight black, no cream, no sugar, so perhaps I am mistaken.

Twinset #505-506 is not a solid, but is a blend of 3 or 4 different similar shades of yellows, golds, and oranges.

Twinsets #493-494 is a sky blue fade; #503-504 is a royal blue fade; I wouldn’t put them both together, but either would go well with Twinset #495-496, which is a sprinkle of blue and the black cherry blended dye that I mentioned above.
