Simply Stunning!
Happy Mid-February!
Wow, the time is flying by and we’re already into February.
I didn’t get this week’s collection dyed until yesterday, putting me behind a little bit. But I am very glad I was delayed. I am very pleased with all of this week’s yarns, and a few of them are simply stunning, if I do say so myself. As I was bursting the pouches I was delighted to see how many of the Twinsets would work very well in contrast with either a blackest black or a starkest white yarn, both of which can be found in commercially dyed sock yarns. So many colorwork variations came to mind.
There is one Twinset (#135-136) that was sprinkled with Spruce. Somehow on both skeins, there is a small blob of Aztec Cold. I noticed it as I was hanging the racks and couldn’t easily remove it. The spot is visible on the skein, but once reskeined and then knitted, it should not be noticeable more than half-a-stitch worth randomly as you knit. It is definitely a blemish, but some might call it a ‘beauty mark’ and the yarn itself is fine.
Twinset #139-140 is the only pair that was definitely a near-solid, and I think it would pair well with most of the lighter Twinsets if you wanted to do contrasting stripes, either vertical, horizontal or spiraling.. And except for the speckled ones, all the rest have multiple colors. I have rotated one skein of each pair and then twisted the bottoms of each skein so you can see the distribution of all the colors in each Twinset.
These are all Phydlbitz Sock (75/25 Superwash Corriedale/Nylon, 430 yards each), and are normally $27.50 per skein. For Monday and Tuesday, you may have each skein for just $25.50 each.
Due to changing weather, as well as other activities this week, I expect to have these ready to ship on or around Thursday, but it might be Friday.
To claim the ones you wants, just send me an email with your numbered requests. As soon as I see your requests, I will mark them off from the Available Yarns tally chart below. I try my best to honor requests in the order of their email time-stamps, so it is fair for everyone as these are all one-of-a-kind dye jobs, and it is always first-come, first served. HOWEVER, I am happy to mark them off and hold yarns for a few days if you need to wait for a payday within a few days; just let me know when you make your request. 🙂
